Avoiding a near-life experience

Dave and I had a call with renowned teacher Max Strom this morning who we hold dear as a teacher and a friend. Max taught workshops here for a number of years around the start of the last decade and made a huge impression on us and those who attended. One of his workshops "how to avoid a near life experience" is a profound dive into what we do habitually and how many of us are embedded with our devices and our work so those close to us have to make do with the residue of the time and attention left from work and the time devoted to ourselves (or our self) is almost non-existant.

What is evident to Max and ourselves is the need for quiet time and the restoration of energy has never been greater. I have spent this past decade devoted to the practice of Yoga Nidra and relaxation techniques and used these techniques in my classes with the Ireland and Connacht rugby teams and in my pregnancy yoga classes. I am excited now to bring them to a wider audience on Tuesday and Thursday mornings as our wonderful teacher/friend Lisa has moved on from the Yoga Shala and I'll be taking the Gentle yoga classes.

We'll be doing some monthly workshops and some retreat this year and will be in touch soon with details.

Fiona, Dave and I look forward to sharing yoga practices with you and to a decade of real life experiences and meaning.
