| What you will need:
In short all you need is you, a mat, knowledge of where to park, and some effort!
MATS:
You need one!
As the Yoga practice is done in bare feet you should have your own mat for hygene reasons. If you don't have one you can borrow one for the first week but after that you need to buy one.
Eco Yoga mats are available in the yoga shala which are rubber with a great grip for the reduced price of €35. View our product page
Avoid buying a cheap mat in agos or tesco as they will frustrate you as you will slip on them.
Payment: cash or cheque. In the interest of keeping our prices as low as we can we don't offer a card facility.
What to wear:
All You will need are clothes that allow you to move although T-Shirts should not be too loose, as they will come over your head in forward bends.
Safety:
The Yoga Shala was purpose built for Yoga. The room is heated to a comfortable temperature to allow you breathe deeply and generate heat in your body. When you generate this heat yourself, this allows your muscles to strenghten & lengthen safely as you practice.
Preparation for class:
Water
Drinking cold water during the yoga practice is not recommended (little sips are fine though!). We work on developing heat in the body to allow us to move more freely and this heat helps to eliminate toxins and purify the whole system, pouring cold water onto this heat slows down the whole process. We recommend you drink water throughout the day of your practice but not within 30 minutes of your practice.
Food
Try to avoid eating large meals before practice. It is recommended that one eats a meal about three hours before practice to give the body time to digest and eliminate that meal, so that you can practice in pure comfort.
